Description:
The Home for Healing Golf Classic is a fundraiser for the Home for Healing Located across from the University of Arkansas for Medical Science. Home for Healing is a non-profit facility that provides free of cost lodging in a home-like setting for cancer patients, parents of infants being cared for in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and family members of patients in ICU. The Home for Healing services UAMS, Arkansas Childrens, CARTI, Arkansas Urology, CHI St. Vincent and Baptist Health. It also provides a cancer support center where education, fellowship and nurturing can take place in a supportive atmosphere. Home for Healing is funded entirely by private donations, grants and fundraisers like this event.
