Gia Nordman Memorial Golf Tournament BioIn January 2021, I unexpectedly lost my wife, Giovanna Nordman after 12 years of marriage. Gia was a mother of 2 (Ethan and Nicolas), a sister to 6 siblings and a close friend to many. She had a positive impact on everyone she met personally and professionally. Her passing left a hole in our hearts and lives which needed to be filled. Initially, a family member set-up a GoFundMe account to establish a scholarship fund for our children. Then, in the Spring of 2021, we held our first Memorial Golf Tournament in her name in order to bring together family/friends/co-workers in support of this scholarship fund...And the GLO Family Foundation was formed (GLO stands for “Gia Lives On”) with a mission to not only benefit Gia’s children's education, but also help other families in our community that may be going through a crisis.On Monday, May 5th, 2025 we will be holding our 5th Annual Memorial Golf Tournament at MacGregor Downs Country Club in Cary, NC with ALL PROCEEDS benefiting the scholarship fund and also Ethan's school (East Cary Middle School) where he is currently a 7th grade student. The love and sense of community at this event is like no other and it reaffirms that Gia will continue to Live On in our lives as well as be a positive influence in our community forever. This event would not be possible without the players, volunteers, sponsorships, donations and love from this community.
